Organic herbal infusions
The Town of Blois associates itself with the Saint-Gilles-de-Pontlevoy domain by proposing a series of organic infusions inspired by the plants formerly cultivated in the gardens of the royal château – and in the Loire valley, as well. Each flavor makes reference to an illustrious personage having had an impact on the history of the royal edifice:

1547 and 1847, two emblematic dates, two original perfumes. The Town of Blois associates itself with the Nicolas de Barry house, high-end perfumery of Candes Saint-Martin, and proposes two original perfumes bringing back to mind the history of Blois.
- 1547 – rose note: In 1547, Catherine de’ Medici became queen of France. Coming from Italy with her perfumer René the Florentine, she rendered perfumes fashionable in the French court. And it was in Blois, in the château where her apartments are still visited, that under her impetus dames and seigneurs perfumed their bodies and clothes with aromatic waters… Each morning, perfumers would proceed from one room to the next, providing the women with rose water, a highly appreciated essence whose perfume evokes memories of days of yore.
- 1847 – cacao note: In 1847, Victor Auguste Poulain opened the first confectionery in Blois. It was the beginning of the grand history of the most celebrated chocolatier. With its characteristic chocolate notes, this perfume brings back to mind the times when Blois was enthralled by the seemingly intoxicating odors emanating from the Poulain chocolate factory. Even today, its fragrance remains utterly unique.
